Linda tells us abit about herself & Jack:
I started obdience classes with Flossie at Rugby Dog Training club in 1994 when she was a young pup. Then, when she was 12 months old I started her agility training, I had wanted to do this for years, something I never got round to with my two other collies I had then, Max & Ricky. Saying that they had a great life, we always had a hobby of some sort on the go and the dogs always came with us.
Flossie was a good dog for me to start out in agility with, easy to train and eager to please (most of the time). She won me out of starters although Jed nearly beat her to it on the same course, but he had a pole down. After Flossie there was Jed, Abby, Indie, Jack, Ozzie and Cruze, who comes out this year. All of our dogs are pets first agility second and I believe thats how it should be ..Currently I have 3 dogs at champ level (advanced) one in senior and I am still looking forward to novice with Cruze.
Jack is the collie I rescued at 8 1/2 months old. He had two previous pet homes.
The first, I believe looked after him and taught him a lot of nice habits before the family split up.The second kept him shut out side and after only 2 months got a new puppy and Jack had to go. I was due to go and see him to try and rehome him for these people after a neighbour gave me a tip off. But they couldnt wait 24 hours for me to get there ,and put him in the local rescue. I know I could have left it there and left it to the rescue centre to rehome him, but something inside me told me I had to go and see him. He greeted me as if he had always known me, and the rest is history. What a lovely lad he is to live with, he is a good pal, and as a bonus he loves agility and has won into Advanced.
