LITTLE MR MEENA - LARGE STARTER X WINNER & LARGE G2 2ND 2007

A friend of mine was doing some building work on a house, and noticed a puppy kept in the porch. When he  enquired about the dog he was told they had purchased him as a Christmas present, but they had no longer had an interest in him. My builder friend couldn’t keep him, so I offered to foster him while I looked for a suitable new home.  He was 4.5 months old. Well, famous last words – Patch soon became Max, and 2.5 years later I still haven’t quite got round to looking for a permanent home for him!

I think Max is a collie x lurcher and is the perfect dog in so many ways.  He’s a typical lazy lurcher at home – you can always find him stretched out on the best seat in the house, and as long as someone is there to give him a hug he’s a happy dog!  However, as soon as we get out of the house the collie in him comes through.  He is one of the noisiest dogs I know ring side and absolutely lives for his agility!

It’s only now I’ve got my second dog that I can really appreciate how easy Max is to train and what a joy he is to live with. We’ve dabbled in search and rescue, working trials and competition obedience, but what ever we’re doing I’m just glad he came into my life.

I love him to the Max!
