Susie Josty & Jack – Ag.Ch Spratt Attack

Jack started life owned by an alcoholic living on the streets of Cardiff. When his owner went into Rehab Jack became ownerless. Through a friend of a friend I heard about a Labrador Retriever cross (I don’t think so!!) that would be put to sleep if a home wasn’t found – so that was it - I picked him up 2 days before Christmas 1995.

Even after 11 years Jack still retains some of his “street dog” tendencies (or maybe the fact that he does what he wants when he wants is down to the excessive spoiling he has endured over the years). He is a lovely, gentle and quiet dog to live with and over the years we have formed a solid bond and a real partnership.

Agility Achievements

During his agility career, Jack has never failed to amaze me. He began jumping 2’6”, winning Starters jumping in 1998 and became Advanced in 2001 after winning the Mini agility class in Peterborough.

To date he has won over 200 first places in Kennel Club Classes (54 being won in 2005). He has qualified for Olympia for the last 4 years and Crufts for the past 6 years, and despite the fact that his enthusiasm for entertaining the crowd does not produce his best work – we managed to win the Pairs class n 2003 and 2006 and came 2nd at Olympia in 2003.

He also won the Agility Voice Mini Dog of the Year in 2004 & 2005, and in 2005 came the icing on the cake, when he finally won his third ticket and won himself the title of Agility Champion Spratt Attack – becoming the only Welsh dog to have achieved this distinction.

Susie & Jack will be back at Crufts this year
